The Networks and Cybersecurity Program at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence – Cairo University is committed to providing quality education and research to create highly competitive cadres of specialists in the field of networks and cybersecurity, in addition to building capabilities and providing technical consultations and solutions as a contribution from the program to social and economic development.

Program Educational Objectives

The educational objectives of the Networks and Cyber Security program is to prepare a graduate that is:

PEO1: Specialized and highly competent in the latest emerging network and cybersecurity technologies and tools that match the needs of the industry.

PEO2: Capable of demonstrating professional responsibilities as well as ethical, legal, societal, and cultural concerns with respect to computing practices and usage.

PEO3: Capable of communicating effectively, work collaboratively, demonstrate leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

PEO4: Able to engage in life-long learning and continuous professional development and research in a rapidly evolving industry.

Student Outcomes

Graduates of the program will have the ability to:

SO1: Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.

SO2: Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.

SO3: Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.

SO4: Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice taking into account legal, ethical, diversity, equity, inclusion, and  accessibility principles consistent with the mission of the institution.

SO5: Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.

SO6: Apply security principles and practices to maintain operations in the presence of risks and threats.
